Step 3 - Making the change

Once you have found the offer that best suits you, simply contact the retailer (see the list of energy retailers and contact numbers) and ask to enter into a contract. You can do this over the phone.

The retailer will send out full terms and conditions as well as details of your right to cancel the contract if you change your mind. You will have a cooling-off period of 10 business days from the date you entered into the contract. After the expiry of your cooling-off period and following your next meter read, your account will be transferred to your retailer and offer of choice. The transfer process is explained below.
